Do you have a problem with impulse spending and shopping? Do you buy things that you don’t need? Well, it’s time to stop shopping for things you don’t need, so you can start saving some money for the things that matter most. In this video, I will share 15 easy and practical tips to stop spending money aimlessly, so that you can finally save some cash and reach your financial goals.
In my 20s, I used to shop impulsively and buy all sorts of things on a whim and I didn’t even end up using the majority of those things. In my 30s, after adopting minimalism, I’ve changed the way I spend money drastically and that has helped me save thousands of dollars.
In this video, I’m sharing my personal experience as well as the tips that have helped me cut down on spending on things I don’t really need. If you have any tips for impulse shopping, let me know in the comments below.

I just turned 19 and I spend soooooooo much money on DLC for certain video games
Regret getting AirPods
worst impulse buy is going “Targeting” especially when I’m a little anxious or stressed :/
most if my money went on drugs. good thing im sober now
If I saved every dollar I spent on beer, then I would be a millionaire.
I put a lot of money in my bank yesterday and it’s so hard to not spend it it’s really annoying me and I want to buy designer stuff but I don’t want to waste money
My worst impulse buy was two suits before starting what I thought was my dream job. I found I never used the jackets, also it was costly to clean them as dry clean only
I will apply this facts on me
Gotta save up for a $5,000 trip and some expensive car mods, but at the same time those candles smell so good 😂
I watch your video just to listen 'hello hello!' 😬😺😺
Love the tips
oh wow great tips. i really liked the jar idea! i think i'm gonna start doing that. thank you.
I’m definitely going to do the “saving” idea on what I would have spent on my impulse by and just move it to savings to see how much I saved by not even getting the item.
I really need to save money since I need an expensive tablet plz pray for me to collect money fast and not spend it
I spend 200 dollars on vbucs and it’s nothing
That jar idea is an awesome idea! I never heard of that and I'll have to try it! June is coming up soon. It'll be a whole new month so I won't have to wait too long to try this for a while month
I keep a list on Amazon of the things I really need and want for example, a better trash can because mine is old broken and just looks faded. I picked a nice better looking can and saved it to my lists. When I came across some extra cash or was able to have some extra cash after everything got paid, I go into my list and see what I want to get from there. It has helped me spend my money on things I really want and need vs. random stuff that bring no value to me.
A cat (pet), A 2nd larger fish tank, a cheap bed.
Every time you buy something, think how much you would sell it for, and if there’s a huge difference, don’t buy it
I think I waste a lot of money on food! I am a single woman and I can easily spend $300 a week at Costco on groceries
My worse impulse buy is almost always clothing. I always give myself excuses as to why I need a certain piece of clothing :/
What i regret the most is starting a vice, like its so easy to spend for my vice/s but way way to hard to stop it
Awesome tips Thank you so much Ria🙏! I wish I would of discovered this video years sooner ! I really appreciate all the wisdom here since I feel support that it is possible to be mindful of being more centered as a person ! I struggle w/ impulse shopping a lot at coffee shops especially Starbucks daily -it was ridiculous ! Also with purses, and miscellaneous religious articles in the past because emotionally I was going through a very difficult time but am finally getting the Starbucks impulse under control and pray and meditate every time I drive by that place which keep popping up at every corner! Thanks be to God 🤞 it is under control and I know this video is available to refer back to it 💜 🙏
Cool
See also, If certain business can be shut down, and go out of business by government, there could be realized boycott power by the public canceling corporations, businesses, services, ect. If the government can do it. The people can too, anything that operates by consumerism, can be cancelled by a large enough boycott. Not all that difficult. People are saving more, and the result I see as more states open up thier stores, and businesses, is a push for better everything including customer service, treatment of employees, prices ect. It's going to lead to a lot less impulse buying, and better budgeting skills. So this is a great video 😊
the regret list is a really good idea
I’m a simple teen
I get money I spend.
I regret buying a bunch of clothes and shoes I really don't need.
I've been trying to save for my first car ever but it's been imposible since I work at a mall and I don't carry food from home and instead buy food in the mall. I'm also really into pop culture stuff and collectibles, and there's a store right in front of the one I work with which sells all kinds of collectibles.
One of the bad habits I have is that whenever I'm out of work early and my dad hasn't come to pick me up quick I go "window shopping" to other stores until he arrives, and I always end up with something new in hand.
I've spent thousands on game bundles online I worked 70 hour weeks for 3-4 months working two jobs and spent almost all of the money I made online😔
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I needed this video
I was going threw a ruff time and started buying new thing I didn’t need for my house, next thing I new I waisted 800 buck. That was the moment I realized I have a problem.
i spend a lot money on food (eating out and groceries) and also in fashion. based on my spending experience, i decide make some maximize nominal that i should spend on month. Let's say about $100. and also i made daily budget for eating, i spend about $1 only for eating (with note, i cook and buying groceries. not eating out) for eating out, fashion, pets and other stuff , i also made budget every month. but not necessary i have to spend it every month. just for budget.
I buy take out coffee almost every day even when I can’t afford it 😭
Jewelry is my impulse .
Guitar for 150$. Don't even play it 😔
The gown I used in a wedding, I could have just have rented one!
By the where are you, I love your videos. Thank you.
Anything on clearance for me or for my family, everytime I go to the store Any Store and I always make an excuse just to go too so then I end up spending to much and it's a terrible habit I can't get rid of 😪
i am trying to focus this to red dead redemption 2 online but it doesn't help that much
My worst impulses are unhealthy food, clothing and beauty products. I gained weight, due to all the unhealthy food. So I was buying makeup, skincare and clothes to try and make myself feel better. I have slowly stopped doing this, but today I officially start a low buy and I start addressing my weight issues 🙂
Buying a bag Bc I didn’t have a place to put my lipgloss in soho . I could have bought the bag at a resale site for a third of the pr
Will you marry me I love girl who don't like shopping
My worst impulse buy is food and clothes
My biggest impulse buy that i regret the MOST was my first purchase of a comic book character figurine. I know, especially if you aren’t in the fandom or what not it sounds incredibly silly, but these figures do cost a lot understandably because of the craftsmanship that goes into it. There is a market for it and its a great way to creat art for that specific niche but I will admit that I bought it out of pressure over sheer appreciation of it. I do like games and comics and anime and the like but I genuinely don’t by merchandise and succumbed to the pressure of needing to have something to prove that I liked it. And even typing this now it feels so dumb, but if you’ve ever been in the community you may feel the (agreesive) pressure. For something so petty its strange to realise that effort that goes into keeping your integrity and overcoming that pressure. Glad to say it was the first and last time, never use things to prove something to other people.
Beautiful woman.
You’re so pretty!
Watching this video will help me because I seem to have issues with spending money because when my money comes to my account I just spend it on food it just pisses me off. Whenever my sister asks me for money for her travel I have no money to give her. What I need to work on is lowering my spending levels and saving some of money that I get every week.
